Web-based learning is meant by e-learning which commonly referred to as electronic learning or Virtual learning.Sokoni E-Learning consist of teaching and can be based in or out of the Classrooms, the use of computers and the Internet. Through our platform we provide training and development to the Students across all levels through various Electronic media such as the Internet, audio, video etc.
Sokoni- links e-learning (E-learning Uganda) is an initiative of sokoni-links limited an online business directory that was introduced to assist businesses keep afloat during the intense periods of lockdown in East Africa. The founders led by Beatrice Hofmann, a Uganda born entrepreneur based in German, decided to kick start a learning initiative to support learners who were out of school for close to 2 years. With the Herbert Obwoya and Oula David who also double as directors of sokoni-links limited, the initiative started to allow teachers and learners give and receive simpler, prolific, and productive information based on the Ugandan national curriculum where tutors would apply the method of teaching purely through the latest technology to ensure that Teaching and learning became simpler, easier, and more effective. In this blog article I conducted phone interviews with two of the directors and founder members of sokoni E-learning platform about the benefits and each gave great insight about the ongoing trend of E-learning in Uganda and the rest of the world.

This is fulfilled with the online mode of learning as students can learn at their comfort and requirement. Also, teachers can teach with much more flexibility. Sokoni-links E-learning platform can accommodate everyone’s needs, Classes can be taken from any place and at the time which students or tutors prefer, the site offers access to exclusive, prolific, and updated content and accessibility is open, secure, and uninterrupted. There is no procrastinator while using this eLearning platform,it is a quick way of learning and ensures quick delivery of lessons unlike Traditional classrooms which involve some or the kind of delay, itprovides expeditious and exclusive delivery of lessons”Beatrice Hofmann.
According to human psychology, the audio-visual method of teaching leads to a disciplined learning environment. There are an effective tutor and student engagements.One of the importance of e-learning in education is that tutors and participants both can develop advanced learning skills. For example, creating and selling e-books is one such advancement.E-learning has worked towards bringing learners, tutors, experts, practitioners, and other interest groups to one place. “There is a good practice of knowledge sharing followed through different online platforms. This is important in current times of Covid-19 as competition is rising and the world is also growing. Hence, quick information helps in the better growth of an individual”.Obwoya Herbert
Using sokoni e-learning platform, students and teachers can search for their queries on the internet rather than looking for books or asking someone.  And this has strengthened the growing Importanceof E-Learning in Education.There are interactive classes and courses on different topics or programswhich are delivered completely on the net.Students can access topics , they can Emailteachers directly, attend live lectures, and video conferencing, they can do quizzes and get the quiz results set and assessed by teachers, these are some of the mediums that enable the participants to give their views on a particular topic and then discuss them further with teachers available on-line.

Notes on study materials can be printed for the benefit of all the participants are also made available. The sokoni e-learning platform has revolutionized the conventional method of chalk and board style of learning imparted to the students.Our E-learning platform has been introduced to empower learners to get basic schooling and enhance skills. You are at ease with Consistency of exposure, inputs, results, and coordination is highly ranked in E-Learning as it allows teachers a higher degree of coverage to deliver the content regularly. This ensures consistency in learning.
